Wacken Open Air 30.07. – 01.08.2009
Wacken Open Air (W:O:A) er den største eksklusive heavy metal-festivalen i verden. Musikkfestivalen arrangeres i Wacken i Tyskland hver sommer, og har blitt arrangert hvert år siden 1990, da som en liten begivenhet for lokale tyske band, med ca 800 besøkende. Nå har festivalen sekd forskjellige scener, dedikert til forskjellige genre innen metal. I tilleg har de happenings som filmer, WOA firefighters, husband, eget område med salg av skiver, klær, merch, boots… you name it!
Kaldt øl får man kjøpt både på camp-området og inne på festival-området. Siden 2005 har de også solgt ‘eget’ øl, Wacken Premium Pils.
Om ikke dette skulle være bra nok, kan du gå, eller ta buss til sentrum.
Og som et lite pluss, de har en liten luksus som doer med innlagt vann! Hurra!
Denne utgaven blir altså deres 20. år, og det skal feires! Billettene ble revet vekk før året var omme!
Over 70.000 metal-heads fra hele verden kommer til den lille byen Wacken, som kun har 2000 innbyggere.
Hvordan jubileet skal feires har blitt spekulert, men følgende er bekreftet: Einherjer skal kjøre et ekslusivt, reunion show, Heaven And Hell, Motörhead, Amon Amarth og In Flames, er blant noen av de bekreftede bandene.
Det blir det også arrangert et par festivaler i Tyskland som oppvarming; 21.-23 mai arrangeres Wacken Rocks Seaside, Wacken Rocks South og Wacken Rocks Berlin. W.R Seaside og W.R South. Mer info kan finnes på www.wacken-rocks.de

Two big news for you: For the first time we can present you special live-recordings of selected band-performances with a complete professional editing, only available in MP3 size!
To get on of those MP3 shows you have to buy a downloadcard during the festival. With the code on the downloadcard you are able to download the performance of your choice at a later date.
The other big news is that you can buy a very special MP3 stick with a bullit-design exclusively at the W:O:A (Black or Gold).

The downloadcard will be available for 12.50 €, the stick for 10 € and the bundle for 20 €!
