Sectioned was formed in 2006 by Zoltan Valter in Broadstairs, England. After several line-up changes and fine tuning of the band’s approach, Sectioned started recording for their debut album Purulent Reality in 2009. the new line-up features members from Dimentation and ex-Frost (Hungary) members, amd is definitely the strongest line-up to date. Sectioned is a full-time death metal band that has nothing to do with religion or politics. Their debut full-length release will be released by Paragon Records on March 9th, 2010.

REVIEW:

Simply put: Phenomenal! This album actually blew me away. Its hard to find bands out there not trying to sell themselves out like the rest. Dark, fast and creatively strung together “Sectioned’s” new cd will put any worries about death metal to rest. Constantly moving, the release “Purulent Reality” will keep you rocking no matter whats going on!
So the band “Sectioned” was put together in 2006, released a demo, got a modified line-up including some all-star acts in my opinion and are soon to release this disc. Honestly, I was very surprised, I’m so used to scrabbled up noise and unbalanced levels that normally i try to avoid death metal completely. But oddly enough, just as you loose faith in something, something else always appears. Well composed and well recorded this is a stand out album. Nothing is louder than anything, the mixing is great. Vocal tracks are a definite plus. The only complaint I have is that the bass guitar seems to kind of have that dead string dropped tune that can be really annoying at times, but for most of the album is hardly even noticeable.
Its a really odd thing, comming across a band such as this and noticing they aren’t really connecting themselves with politics or religion or anything of that nature. They are true to form, and are one of the few groups in my opinion who seem to do it for the music. There are alot of catchy rhythms in this album that will keep you on the edge of your seat waiting for the next transition. Finally, no aggravating repititious guitar riffs! That was a huge thing with me, each track moves forward not skipping a beat, never looking back. Its nice to see there are more promising acts in the world than what i was aware of. Like I said it helps to put faith back into things.
But overall, great album. No complaints, well mixed, well mastered. Just wow! Anyone looking to see what todays music is missing, i suggest you pick up this album! Good job guys, hope to see you on tour, and I’m looking forward to your next release.
